Shodo

Japanese Calligraphy / Shodo

Shodō, the traditional Japanese art of brush calligraphy, combines mindful movement, flowing ink, and intentional strokes to transform written characters into expressive art. More than a writing technique, Shodō is a meditative practice that encourages focus, calm, and presence.

This workshop is led by dedicated practitioner Manaha, who guides participants through the fundamentals of brush handling, stroke order, and more. Suitable for beginners, returning students, and children, the session offers a welcoming space to slow down, connect with your breath, and experience the beauty and clarity of Shodō in a relaxed, supportive environment.
