日系文化会館は、日系カナダ人祖先の開拓精神を讃え、日系ヘリテージを誇り、象徴とする「リビング・モニュメント」(活動を続ける記念塔)です。皆様からの財政支援はこれら文化資料を後世に残していくための助けとなります。

Heritage Infrastructure (Collections, Storage, and Exhibits)

Fund and launch Phase 1 of the rolling storage and heritage infrastructure upgrades, improving environmental controls, storage capacity, and public access to the Moriyama Nikkei Heritage Centre collections. This includes implementation of the National Japanese Canadian Digitization Strategy Year 1 targets, and visible improvements to on-site interpretive space.

Café & Stage (Coffee Shop and Entrance/Indoor Public Realm)

Help provide space to gather and connect for community members including a reconfigured public space between Shokokai Court and the front entrance. The Café & Stage will serve as an ‘everyday destination’ for members and visitors, a hospitality platform for sponsors and partners, and a flexible micro-stage for small performances, talks, and festival activations.

Kodomo Corner / Heritage Lounge

Transform Heritage Lounge into a dedicated, child- and family-friendly Kodomo Corner that supports children’s programming, intergenerational storytelling, and small-scale heritage exhibits. This space will act as an entry point into Japanese Canadian history for younger audiences and their caregivers, while also providing a flexible venue for workshops during festivals.

Facilities Improvement Fund

Support our Facilities Improvement Fund to address priority upgrades (lighting, wayfinding, carpeting, room quality, HVAC, accessibility, washrooms, gardens, gallery conditions, and select back-of-house improvements) that directly impact audience experience, safety, and rental attractiveness.

Digital Enhancement & Integrated Transactions

Move toward a unified digital environment for memberships, cultural classes, martial arts, ticketing, donations, and retail. The goal is a coherent, mobile-friendly, bilingual (English-Japanese) experience that reduces friction for users and improves data for decision-making.

Library

The JCCC library is always looking to enhance our offerings and selection to our members. From time to time, and depending on our capacity, we accept book donations from our community.

Other In-Kind Donations

The JCCC accepts in-kind donations in the month of April each year for our annual Bazaar. The JCCC Bazaar is our biggest community fundraiser, and we are grateful for the community’s continuing support.


JCCC Foundation

The JCCC has established the JCCC Foundation to ensure that our unique programs, services and facility continue to thrive long into the future.

To date, the JCCC Foundation has benefited from the generosity of individuals who have left bequests in their estates.
