Sedai Youth Creator Lab Showcase
For the past 2 years, the JCCC has been working on enhancing the accessibility of our Sedai Oral History Collection through long term preservation, outreach workshops on Oral History techniques and through activation of our existing interviews. The capstone project of this Japanese Canadian Legacies Society funded project is our Sedai Youth Creator Lab. Six youth have been working with three mentors and JCCC staff, to collect and edit oral histories in 3 amazing short documentaries.
Join us on December 16, 2026 as we screen these documentaries for you for the first time. The evening will include 3 short documentaries and a panel discussion with our Youth and Mentors. A celebratory Reception will be held after the panel discussion.
This evening event will be a celebration of both the work of our Sedai Youth Creator Lab and our larger Sedai Project as we wrap up this amazing grant work. We hope that you are able to join us as we celebrate this amazing project.
