JCCC Origami Crane Project

The project gives encouragement and support to earthquake and tsunami-affected children in Japan by sending them well wishes in the form of paper cranes and letters from students in Canada.

School in Japan receives crane wreath ( May 15th, 2011 )

A school in Takada city in Iwate Prefecture has received the first senbazuru (crane wreath) from our project. The students are from a school that was completely destroyed by the tsunami. Seeing the crane wreath, the students were surprised that there are children in Canada who are worried about them, and the English messages excited their curiosity and brought smiles to their faces.
